Have you ever wanted to get into the mind of your dog around Christmas? To see if they can feel the magic of the season the same way you do? I know I have!

More than once have I been staring at my Christmas tree and feeling warm simply from looking at the twinkling lights and sentimental ornaments. While my dog has sat directly beside me, no doubt feeling warmth directly from lying next to my thigh, I have been curious to know if they look at the Christmas tree and feel the same way as I do.
Would the lights be too bright for their eyes? Is the smell of the Douglas Fir too strong for their noses? Can they tell how beautiful the colours of the ornaments are? According to the BCSPCA, they can tell how lovely your ornaments are, so long as they are yellow or blue!
Dogs only have 2 types of cones in their eyes (that's only 20% of the cones in a human's eye) that allow them to see colour. Those colours are grey, brown, yellow, and (you've guessed it) blue.
So, to ensure your dog has the best Christmas this year, make sure to hang your yellow and blue ornaments closer to their eye level, so they can take in the sights of the season.
Not only this, but also have them join in on the fun on Christmas morning! Gift your pup the most special present of all-- toys that fit their personality! Does your dog like a challenge? Try a Brainy Pup Box which has a treat puzzle that is sure to keep them hunting for more all morning long. Or, perhaps, your dog cannot stop chewing your pillows! Then, the DINK Dogs Chewer Box will help solve that problem with our durable, pet safe chew toys.
Not only are DINK Dogs' personality-based dog toy subscription boxes the perfect fit for your dog's gifts from Santa, DINK Dogs' toys are, almost, exclusively made in the colours dogs can perceive.
Pets are our loyal friends that we must take care of and cherish, especially during the Christmas season. After all, you’ve got money to spend and pets to spoil! Why not give them a gift that will be as fun to look at as it is to play with?
